Beautiful 1-day Motorcycle Tour Loop from Chiang Mai with endless curves, good paved roads, spectacular scenery & elephants! Ride beyond the tourists! The mountains you are riding during this tour belongs to the Himalayan mountain ridge. You start riding back roads to Samoeng. On your way, you pass a couple of elephant camps. From here, back roads to Ban Pok where you can enjoy lunch. From here, slowly make your way back to Chiang Mai with plenty of scenic stops en route.
Day by Day Schedule
Chiang Mai-Samoeng-Chiang Mai
Welcome to our Service Centre in the morning for a tour briefing and motorcycle hand over etc. We are at your disposal as of 8 am.
After you are familiar with your motorcycle you leave in western direction and in just a few minutes Chiang Mai seems to be far behind. For the rest of the day, you will follow great curvy roads without much traffic!
Visit Thai Elephant Care Center and get some first-hand information about the majestic pachyderms, which unfortunately would not have a future without tourism.
In the laid back village of Samoeng enjoy a coffee break. Afterwards, follow one of the many official “Rural Roads in the area”. Passing small villages and mountainous farmlands. You will be surprised how many strawberry and vegetable farms can be found in this area. During the colder months of Thailand is perfect weather for agriculture on those mountains Next destination is the mountain village of Mon Jam which is also part of a Royal Project. Enjoy the breathtaking views during lunch. After lunch ride back towards Chiang Mai on more twists and bends. Stop at a viewpoint to take some memorable pictures and before reaching Chiang Mai in the afternoon you may enjoy one last delicious coffee. By the way: Did you know that Thailand is also one of the world’s top coffee producers? Expect to be back at Bike Tour Asia Service Centre latest by 5 pm, wrapping up your Loop Tour from Chiang Mai!
