Beautiful one-day Thailand Motorcycle Tour of good, paved mountain roads with endless curves and spectacular scenery all the way to the top of Thailand’s tallest mountain Doi Inthanon.
The mountains you are riding during this tour belong to the Himalayan mountain ridge. Besides riding up to the highest point in Thailand (2,565 meters), you will visit the Twin Pagodas and the Wachirathan Waterfall.
This short tour introduces you to some of the many attractions near Chiang Mai while providing an enjoyable riding experience on some scenic twisty roads.
Day by Day Schedule
Chiang Mai-Doi Inthanon-Chiang Mai
Welcome to our Service Centre in the morning for a tour briefing and motorcycle hand over etc. We are at your disposal as of 8 am.
Once you are familiar with your motorcycle you leave Chiang Mai behind and ride back roads towards Wat Tam Doi Toan, to start your mountain motorcycle tour in Thailand. The road is less travelled, are passing villages, elephant camps and endless rice paddies. This is the back road up to Doi Inthanon. The beauty is that you have mostly the road to your self since most tourist want takes the main road. Climbing through beautiful pine forests for more than 2,000 meters on windy roads to the peak of Doi Inthanon, which at 2,565 meters above sea level is the highest point in Thailand.
Visit the impressive Twin Pagodas built by the Thai Air Force in honour of their Majesties King and Queen in commemoration of their 60th birthdays.
Stop on the way down at a Hmong Tribal Market where the villagers trade various kinds of vegetation, fruits and flowers grown on their farms.
Your final stop is at the Wachiratharn Waterfall, which can be accessed from the road. It is one of Thailand’s most impressive waterfalls, approximately 80 meters high.
Expect to be back at Bike Tour Asia Service Centre latest by 5 pm, completing your mountain motorcycle tour in Thailand.
